Extrinsic Motivation and Perceived Benefits of Environmental Volunteering: Perspectives from Students

Environmental volunteering has proven to be a valuable tool for environmental conservation and students’ self-development. However, maximise the benefits of programs, stakeholders should understand factors that motivate school or university students participate in volunteering. In addition, perceived gained, from perspectives, will help sustain retain level among students. Therefore, this study examined extrinsic motivation participation perspectives. There are three (3) subconstructs motivation: social influences, fulfilling requirements cultures. Meanwhile, have four (4) subconstructs: positive emotion, meaningfulness, relationship achievements. Random sampling was used survey conducted 356 who had experience (aged 15 - 30 years old). Descriptive analysis employed analyze t-test differences levels based on gender. The results indicate were at high level. there no significant difference terms This perspectives highlight role played by retaining could strengthen education through achieve sustainable development goals.
